We all learn through stories. Especially young children. And so, it seemed like a good idea to develop our own story book to introduce Gudfala Tut.
Comprising thirty-three pages, in A3 format, “Stori blo Gudfala Tut” (The story of Gudfala Tut) features two young children, Florina and Ellis. Illustrated with large photos, the early pages of the book show our heroes enjoying life to the full … by the beach, in the forest and at school. Then Ellis develops toothache – from all the sweets and biscuits he had been eating – and naturally the pain causes him to miss out on so many things, including catching a big fish with his dad.
After being happy to finally see a dentist … “who took away the pain” … Florina and Ellis are both excited to learn that Gudfala Tut was coming to their class.
And from here, it’s a step-by-step path of discovery, as all the stages of this supervised, daily brushing program are introduced. Including, the plaque disclosing dye, personal individually numbered tooth brush, class brush wall poster, and even the extra brush and record book for home.
Florina and Ellis are surprised to learn that the toothpaste is MADE IN VANUATU, using oil from coconuts. And not only does it come in a pink, bubble-gum flavour, but it’s also packaged in large returnable and refillable, half-litre containers; which are good for the environment.
In closing, Florina and Ellis realise that they have started a habit that will last a lifetime – improving their teeth as well as their overall health. Not only that, but they have become an example for their whole family to follow.
